Everybody in architecture school would probably recognize this as a Naef toy. If you don’t know about Naef toys, they’re basically different sets of building blocks that are the results of proportions, that in turn creates proportionate results. It messes with your head a bit because you know when you arrange them “right” you get a perfect square with a pretty rainbow, but then when you do what all these people did, you find you might be just as happy with your way, and you still get a pretty rainbow.
